Perfect Brew Services — Partner Highlight
Perfect Brew Services (PBS) is one of the most trusted coffee equipment sales and service companies on the East Coast. Based in Baltimore, Maryland, PBS has been serving the coffee industry since the early 2000s. Our team gave PBS a visit and really enjoyed speaking with the founder & owner, Bruce White. In this article, we share a bit about his background, business and where Dripos comes into play.
Origin Story
Before entering the coffee industry, Bruce worked for a non-profit organization helping set up national parks in the Philippines. During his time there, he connected with coffee farmers and experienced coffee processing firsthand. That experience sparked a long-term interest in coffee. Bruce described that experience like this:
“They rolled out a mat on the ground and there were cherries with the fruit still on them. They picked out the driest ones, put them in a wok over a fire and roasted them, then put them in a hollowed-out log and pounded them into a powder. They boiled it like cowboy coffee. It was an amazing experience.”
After returning from the Philippines, Bruce became a professor and began working on coffee machines out of curiosity. What started as a hobby, fixing machines and helping people troubleshoot equipment, slowly turned into more and more requests for help. Over time, that hobby turned into Perfect Brew Services.
Today, Perfect Brew Services has about nine technicians working in the field, as well as a team working on projects at their headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. PBS partners with manufacturers such as Bellwether Roasters, Bunn, and Marco and provides technical support to customers throughout the DMV region.

Visit Bruce in the Showroom
Their showroom on Ridgely Street has machines on display so customers can test equipment in person and learn how different machines work before making a purchase. Bruce spends time with customers helping them choose equipment based on what they are trying to build and what their budget allows.
“People have very successful businesses with coffee that's not remarkable, but they provide a great experience to the customer and they're successful. Sometimes I enjoy those shops very much because of the experience. I like to help people figure out what it is they're trying to achieve and then what their budget is.”
A Dripos register station demo unit is also available in the showroom. With decades of experience helping coffee shops open and operate, Bruce is able to advise customers not only on equipment, but also on the software systems that run a coffee business. Dripos is one of the systems he can walk customers through while customers evaluate equipment and plan their shop. Seeing both the equipment and the operating system together in one place helps owners make better decisions about how their entire bar and business will function.

Perfect Brew Services is a great example of what makes the coffee industry unique. Experienced people, who genuinely want to help coffee businesses succeed by guiding them toward the right equipment and the right setup for their goals.
