Meet Leo Gordon, a dedicated Dripos payroll specialist who thrives on building meaningful connections with customers each day. When he’s not at work, he enjoys playing the viola and discovering new corners of the city.

Please introduce yourself!

I’m Leo, originally from Siesta Key near Sarasota, Florida. I recently graduated from Yale, where I studied American Studies and French. Before Dripos, I worked in venture capital, hospitality consulting, and the refugee nonprofit space.

I’m relatively new to New York, where I’m based in Murray Hill. Outside of work, I play the viola, enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, and spend a lot of time exploring the city on foot. I take every opportunity to enjoy some sunshine.

What is your go-to coffee order?

A cortado with whole milk.

What is your go-to coffee shop?

Atticus Bookstore Cafe in New Haven, CT.

What is your role at Dripos? and what is your favorite part of your role?

I’m a Payroll Support Specialist, so I work on making the payroll experience as smooth and seamless as possible for our customers. What I like most about the role is helping people work through complex challenges, and doing my best to make something stressful feel simple.

What do you enjoy most and least about working at a tech start up?

I really enjoy being able to work day-to-day with the people who use our product and see firsthand how it makes a difference for them.

Can you describe a specific achievement at Dripos you are most proud of?

I’m most proud of collaborating with the success team to standardize our payroll procedures. This work has helped us catch potential issues before they happen, making payroll smoother for our customers and allowing our team to be more proactive rather than reactive.

What are you most excited to build, solve, or see come to life at Dripos this year?

I’m excited to expand our team’s payroll expertise. The more we understand the process, the smarter we can be about designing solutions that make payroll stress-free.
