Hello and welcome to the May edition of Dialed In.

Implementation by the Numbers

The Implementation team continued to ramp up their efforts to launch shops on the Dripos platform as we approach the second half of 2026, where we saw shops go live in 21 different states across the country. May saw a bit more of an even spread between new and existing businesses launching on Dripos than previous months, with a 56% to 44% split between respective shop types. Around 31% of these shops launched with one or more premium features added to their platform, whether that be accounting, payroll, a custom branded app, or third party order integration.

Customer Highlight

One customer launched on the platform  in May that we’d like to highlight is First Brew Coffee House, a new cafe located in North Zulch, Texas. Operating as the non profit missions arm of the First Baptist Church of North Zulch, the First Brew owners saw the need for a local coffee shop in their community to bring people together (the closest shops were 20-30 minutes away). With this in mind, they wanted a system to help the shop run as smoothly and efficiently as possible so they could focus on creating a space that allows them to give back to the community and for the residents of North Zulch to enjoy each others company. With Dripos, First Brew is able top not only run the core functions of their coffee shop, but also their back end operations like payroll and accounting in one streamlined system, giving them a full 360 degree view of their shop in one place. Industry Trends

If you have been paying attention to the specialty coffee industry in the United States over the past decade, chances are you have noticed a rise in shops of a certain quality, or rather, “koala-ty”. Emphasis on espresso quality, healthy options with ingredients like avocado or acai, and relaxed, almost beach-like, atmospheres are all attributes of Australian inspired coffee shops. While coffee is often treated as fuel for the work day in shops amidst the hustle and bustle of cities like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles, in Australia, coffee is treated as a beverage tied in with leisure, relaxation, and communal spaces. During the third wave coffee boom of the 2010’s, Australians living in the states sought to bring their style of shop and beverages (The Flat White)  to Americans. A pioneer in the category was Blue Stone Lane, founded by Aussie Nicholas Stone in New York in 2010. Bluestone Lane found success with their concept as a true third space for customers, bringing vibes from the beaches of Melbourne into the shops with healthy offerings and plenty of natural light. Bluestone lane currently operates 60 shops throughout the US. Australian style coffee shops can be found within the Dripos community as well - Milkweed Studio, and Tectonic Coffee operate on both coasts, New York City and Los Angeles, putting their own home grown Aussie spin on their spaces.
